The 2002 Act will be modified as part of the proposed modification to enable the Central Bank of the nation to design and issue its own digital currency.

The Nepal Rastra Bank Act would be changed as a result of the proposed action. The Act will be changed as a result of this adjustment to permit the bank to print its own version of the digital money. The decision made by Nepal to take this action is identical to the one made recently by Britain.

This amendment would update the 2002 Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) Act. This Act states that the central bank’s main responsibility is to mint coins and paper money. In order to mint and issue a digital currency under the guise, the Nepal Rastra Bank does not have the authority to do so.
